Traffic Update For San Marcos

TAX-FREE WEEKEND: On Aug. 6 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. the Southbound IH 35 Exit ramp #200 will be closed for Tax-Free Weekend. Southbound drivers to the outlet malls should use the McCarty Exit #201. Northbound IH 35 Exit Ramp #201 at McCarty Lane will also be closed. Northbound drivers to the outlet malls should use the Centerpoint Rd. Exit #200. City of San Marcos Traffic Dept., 512.393.8034

ED JL GREEN: From Sessom St. to Laurel Ridge, maintenance will start on July 6 – 29, weather permitting, from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Please park your vehicle off the street or it may be towed at your own expense. City of San Marcos Streets Dept., 512.393.8025

E DE ZAVALA DR.:  From Staples Hwy to State Hwy 123, street renovation maintenance will start on Aug. 3 – 22, weather permitting from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. 1309 WONDER WORLD DRIVE: On Wonder World Drive at the Central Texas Medical Center, a City contractor will be working in the area to repair a water leak. The closure is currently scheduled for August 1 -12, weather permitting. The outside lane of eastbound Wonder World Drive will be closed daily from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Engineering/ Capital Improvements, 512.393.8130    

417 N COMANCHE/LINDSEY: All lanes in both directions will be closed for through traffic for new construction through July 31. Please follow all detour signs. Skyline Builders, 512.699.6465

120 E. SAN ANTONIO ST: The alley located between Allstate and The Marc will be closed for filming of Texas Music Scene on Monday, August 1 from 8 a.m. to midnight. Clancy Hardin 512.393.5934

SESSOM DRIVE AT PEQUES STREET: City contractor will be working in the area to install underground electrical conduit. One lane of westbound Sessom will be closed daily and through the weekend for construction at Peques Drive. The intermittent closure is currently scheduled during working hours until August 12. AQUARENA SPRINGS/CHARLES AUSTIN DR: Right lane westbound closure heading to the Charles Austin intersection to lay remaining asphalt will commence on July 20 – 29 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. TxDOT, 512.905.3097

EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430

LONG TERM ROAD PROJECTS:
