Texas State Athlete Selected Sun Belt Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

Next weekend will see Hardy and the Bobcats compete in the Sun Belt Outdoor Track & Field Championships that takes place May 11-13 and be held at the Bobcat Track & Field Stadium.

With her strong performance over the weekend at the Bobcat Classic, Tramesha Hardy was named the Sun Belt Conference’s Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. It is the fifth time her the junior’s career she has received a weekly conference accolade and third during the outdoor season.

Hardy ran the fastest 200-meter dash time in the conference this season in 22.99. It ranks second in Texas State history and is the second time she has broken 23 seconds in the event. Her time is also the 12th fastest in the NCAA West Region.

The Houston native was also part of the 4x100m relay that ran a 45.48 to take over the top time in the SBC.
