San Marcos, CARTS Announce New Bus Stop On Route Six

The City of San Marcos and CARTS are launching new bus stop at the Lamar Personalized Learning Center located at 121 De Zavala Drive, San Marcos TX, effective Monday, Sept. 30.

Approximate stop times southbound are 7:06 and 8:06 AM, mid-day at 11:06 AM, and afternoon at 3:06 PM and 4:06 PM Approximate stop times Northbound are 7:22 AM and 8:22 AM, mid-day at 11:22 AM, and afternoon stops are at 3:22 PM and 4:22 PM.

Route information will be posted at each stop and online at www.RideCARTS.com and www.SMTXTHEBUS.com.  

The CARTS District is a rural/urban transit district organized under Chapter 458 of the Texas Transportation Code as a political subdivision of the state and an entity responsible for transit services in a 7200 square mile nine-county area surrounding Austin. 

The District includes the non-urbanized areas of Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Travis and Williamson counties, and the San Marcos urbanized area.

Governed by a Board made up of a member from each of the nine County Commissioners Courts and an appointed representative of the San Marcos City Council, CARTS provides regional perspective and planning to operate the wide variety of community-based passenger transportation services in its District.
