Texas State University Lecturer Killed In State Hwy 21 Fatal Crash

A Texas State University Education Lecturer was killed in a car accident on State Highway 21, Monday.
According to officials, Yolanda Reyes, 60, was pronounced deceased at the scene of an accident around 7:00 AM.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said the collision involved four vehicles including one, which was a dump truck-type vehicle.
Officials have not determined the contributing facts to the accident, but the investigation is ongoing.
According to Texas State University, Reyes taught early childhood education curriculum in the College of Education’s Curriculum and Instruction Department.
“The university was deeply saddened to learn of the death of our colleague and friend, Yolanda Reyes, who was a lecturer in the College of Education’s Curriculum and Instruction Department,” Jayme Blaschke, Texas State University Media Relations Manager, said. “The condolences of the Texas State family are with Ms. Reyes’ family, friends and students during this difficult time.”
According to Blaschke, the Curriculum and Instruction Department is notifying and meeting with Ms. Reyes’ students, and the Campus Counseling Center is providing services to those who would like extra support during this time.
“Moments like this remind us that the well-being of our university community is an utmost concern, and the Campus Counseling center is available to help,” Blaschke said.

Since when has dictating and hitting “post” become a journalism technique? There are “for” vehicles, “including one” that is a “dumb” truck? While a for (vs. anti) vehicle, a one, and a dumb truck might be interesting to see, you still should have said that “The TxDPS said the collision involved four vehicles, including a dump truck-type.”
